If you have an autoimmune or other chronic condition, are you sometimes overwhelmed by everything you’re supposed to be doing? Jeez, even if your health is good there are a lot of things on this list, right?
Eat differently.
Take these supplements.
Avoid these foods.
Exercise.
Meditate.
Reduce stress.
Get better sleep.
Detox.
Avoid toxins.
Fix your gut.
And somehow… do all of this while you’re exhausted and trying to live your life.
No wonder you’re overwhelmed. That’s a lot.
So today, I want to give you permission to not fix everything at once.
Try this instead today:
Take a quiet minute to ask yourself:
“What is one thing my body might benefit from today?”
🔹Maybe it’s drinking more water.
🔹Maybe it’s eating a nourishing meal instead of skipping one (intermittent fasting is NOT for everyone).
🔹Maybe it’s taking a gentle walk.
🔹Maybe it’s going outside and getting some natural light.
🔹Maybe it’s going to bed earlier.
🔹Maybe it’s turning off the WiFi router at night (you’re not using it anyway)
🔹Maybe it’s saying no to something that is draining you. (Highly recommended!)
🔹Maybe it’s finally making the appointment you’ve been putting off. (Dentist anyone?!)
🔹Or maybe it’s simply resting without feeling guilty about it.
There is a tendency in the chronic illness/autoimmune world to believe that if we can just find the perfect protocol, everything will change.
But healing is rarely that simple.
It is usually a process of identifying the factors that are contributing to your symptoms and then gradually supporting the body on multiple levels.
That’s the philosophy behind my work.
I look at the bigger picture — nutrition, digestive health, toxins and environmental exposures, stress and emotional health, hidden pathogens, lifestyle and other potential contributors — and then help you determine where to focus your attention.
You don’t need to know all the answers before you begin.
You just need to be willing to look at your health from a different perspective.
Because there IS a way to help yourself through this.
And you can begin with one small step.
